I’ve designed this itinerary to highlight the iconic landmarks, main squares, and architectural contrasts of each city. Though only a few miles apart, they offer two entirely different worlds.

This is a private tour of Brussels and Antwerp tailored exclusively to your pace. While we travel between the cities, we’ll dive into the history, traditions, and everyday life of modern Belgians.

Brussels: From Kings to the EU Capital

Belgium’s capital is a true blend of cultures, which shows in its architecture: Flemish Baroque sits right next to Walloon Art Nouveau. We’ll explore what is often called Europe’s most beautiful square, uncover stories of famous French exiles, and hit the city’s main highlights:

Antwerp: Historic Port and Diamonds

Antwerp easily rivals Amsterdam as the world’s diamond capital. It blends a strong medieval heritage with a bustling modern port. The route is planned to give you a complete picture of Antwerp’s contrasts in just one day:

• Het Steen and Grote Markt — We’ll check out the Renaissance town hall and Gothic cathedrals, and you’ll find out which bloodthirsty folklore character gave the city its name.

• Rubens House — Learn about the world-renowned artists who lived and created their masterpieces here.

• Diamond Quarter — See the heart of the global diamond trade and learn how rough stones are transformed into sparkling jewelry.

• Port House — Admire the futuristic, diamond-shaped glass extension built right on top of a historic fire station.

Both historic centers are incredibly walkable, so we’ll focus on the highlights without wasting time in transit. You can choose from two formats:

Option 1: Meeting in Belgium

• Duration: 5 hours.

• Price: 600 euros.

• Format: A walking tour through both historic centers with a quick, comfortable high-speed train ride between the cities.

• Included: Guide services and a tasting at a local chocolatier.

• Extra costs: Train tickets (around 9 euros one way).

Option 2: Transfer from the Netherlands

• Duration: 8 hours.

• Price: 800 euros.

• Format: Pick-up in Amsterdam (or another Dutch city) by car. A mix of a scenic road trip and city walking tours.
