Experience three contrasting sides of the Netherlands in a single day: grand architecture, the political capital, and classic canals. This itinerary covers De Haar Castle, the stately city of The Hague, and historic Delft. I’m Tatiana, your local guide, and I’ll pick you up directly from your Amsterdam hotel. Since this is a fully customizable Amsterdam private tour, you set the pace, with plenty of time to stop and explore wherever you like.
This is the largest castle in the Netherlands, rebuilt from ruins into a highly advanced palace by Baron van Zuylen and his Rothschild heiress wife. I’ll show you how the fairytale exterior, complete with turrets, hides 19th-century comforts like elevators, central heating, and a modern kitchen. We’ll walk through the lavish halls that once hosted Coco Chanel and Roger Moore, and explore the perfectly symmetrical French gardens. You can buy entrance tickets on the spot (around 20 EUR per person).
The Hague feels completely different from other Dutch cities. Instead of a dense canal network, you’ll find palaces, embassies, and wide avenues. I’ll show you the Binnenhof complex, the seat of the Dutch government, and Noordeinde Palace, the King’s working residence. You’ll learn why the city transforms every third Tuesday of September for Prince’s Day, find out how a monarch commutes by bicycle, and see the famous Peace Palace.
Delft is classic 17th-century Holland, built on the wealth of global trade. I’ll guide you along quiet canals to the Market Square, home to the Renaissance City Hall and the Gothic New Church, where the Dutch royal family is buried. You’ll discover how the city became the center for iconic blue and white porcelain. As we walk, I’ll point out the best photo spots, capture some great shots for you, and share my top recommendations for local restaurants and things to do later.
This is a private experience exclusively for your group.
The trip lasts 8 hours (from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM) and costs 750 EUR. This is a flat rate for your party, and the car comfortably seats up to 6 passengers. Travel time between stops is under 50 minutes, keeping the day relaxed and unhurried.
Seamless transport: I provide door-to-door pickup and drop-off at your Amsterdam hotel. We travel in a comfortable vehicle with Wi-Fi, bottled water, and child seats on request. At De Haar Castle, The Hague, and Delft, we explore on foot.
Flexible itinerary: The day is built around your interests. We can easily adjust the route to spend more time on history, architecture, or simply enjoying leisurely canal walks.
Food and drink breaks: Along the way, we’ll stop for coffee, try some famous Dutch herring, or sit down for a proper lunch. I’ll recommend trusted local spots based on your tastes. Food and drinks are at your own expense.
