My private walking tour in Amsterdam takes place exclusively in the old part of the city—where it is essential not to miss the highlights.

• Dam Square and canals: We will see the Royal Palace and the New Church, then walk along the canals, where the tilt of the “dancing” houses is perfectly visible from the waterfront.

• Flowers and hidden courtyards: We will visit the Bloemenmarkt floating market to learn how a single tulip bulb once cost as much as an entire house, and step into quiet courtyards hidden from most tourists.

• Where the locals eat: I will show you non-touristy spots where locals buy fresh maatjes herring, farm cheese, and smoked eel.

The City from the Water: Amsterdam Canal Cruise

The second part of the program is an Amsterdam canal cruise with a guide. Our small boat is much more maneuverable than the standard river buses. We will navigate the wide Amstel River, turn toward the Jewish Quarter and the 9 Streets area, and most importantly, we will be able to get up close to the houseboats to see them in detail.

Can we bring food and drinks on board?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks to celebrate a birthday or simply relax.

What if we visit in winter—will it be comfortable?

The tours run year-round. In winter, we use a fully enclosed boat with a roof and heating, so it is warm inside. If your visit coincides with the Amsterdam Light Festival, we will see unique light installations by global artists from the water—it is one of the most beautiful times in the city.

• Price: €500 (extension — €100/hour).

• Boat: Comfortable luxury class. A toilet and a bar are on board. Open in good weather, fully enclosed with heating and panoramic views in the rain.
