Amsterdam Private Bike Tour

A 2-hour Amsterdam private bike tour is your chance to experience the city at a true local pace. We’ll ride along the Herengracht and Prinsengracht canals, heading through the quiet Jordaan neighborhood to historic churches and traditional houseboats. The route and pace are entirely up to you. We ride without rushing, making stops for photos and breaks wherever you choose. I’ll help you navigate the local bike lanes safely and confidently from start to finish.

In two hours, we’ll cycle through several contrasting city districts. The route is designed to cover both iconic landmarks and the quiet corners where locals actually spend their time.

Cyclists own the road

The city’s transport system revolves around flawless bike lanes, and cyclists have absolute right of way. To help you settle into the city’s rhythm, I’ll get you up to speed on the local traffic rules, signs, and unspoken cycling etiquette so you feel confident right away.

Leaving the main traffic behind, we’ll turn into cozy, less crowded neighborhoods. I’ll show you hidden spots, including a massive bicycle “forest” at an innovative underwater bike park, ancient wooden bridges, and other unique locations known only to locals.

Where to rent a bike?
You can easily rent a bike on your own at your hotel or a nearby city rental shop (starting at 15 euros per day) and ride it to our starting point. You just need to be a confident cyclist.
Will we stop for food?
We will pause for local street food along the way. I’ll show you tried-and-true spots serving the best Dutch snacks:
Farmhouse cheese tasting paired with a brief history of Dutch dairy.
Classic Dutch bites, including traditional maatjes herring, smoked eel, kibbeling, or signature fries.
Farmer’s market visits are included if you book a Saturday tour.
