SAIL Amsterdam Ship Parade 2025

парад кораблей Амстердам

Once every five years in Amsterdam there is a festival that brings together sailing enthusiasts and sailing ships from all over the world – the SAIL Amsterdam Ship Parade.

In 2020, the parade was affected by the coronavirus epidemic, and in 2025, one of the largest ship parades in history is planned!
On September 20-24, the Dutch capital invites everyone who wants to attend a show on the water. Ships – ancient and modern – come from different countries to show themselves in all their beauty. The country is actively preparing for this event, and I decided to share with you key information about the upcoming anniversary.

Jubilee Bay

So, at the end of summer 2025, Amsterdam is destined to transform into the world’s capital of entertainment. There will be a large-scale parade of SAIL Amsterdam ships, which seafarers around the world have been eagerly awaiting since 2015!!! This visit is held once every five years, starting in 1975. Todi vin dates up to 700 years of Amsterdam. This place celebrates its 750th anniversary, and the SAIL Amsterdam festival (the tenth festival behind the city) celebrates its 50th anniversary. The Anniversary Amsterdam Ship Festival 2025 will be held on a grand scale: the embankment of the river Ey will simultaneously float over 800 ships around the world of different sizes – from small towns to great ships. And the number of participants in the call becomes more than 2 million people. More precisely Sail Amsterdam 2025 dates: 20.08 – 24.08.2025. The organizers are committing to five days: “five days of brotherhood on the water and the white water.”

Happy tourist

To take part in the Amsterdam 2025 Wind Parade, you need to have your own well-ordered vessel, which has exceeded 50 years and has a true historical appearance. However, copies of already unknown ancient ships are still allowed. Whoever asks, will marvel at the parade of ships in Amsterdam 2025 without catastrophe. The best place for this is the river embankment, where before the final “defile” of the windmills there are other local visits, for example, a parade of crews. Everything is accompanied by music, dancing and costume shows on the decks, so take your seat early so you don’t miss out on what’s happening in Amsterdam. And while the ships moored in the bay of the Ey River are preparing for the parade, you can climb aboard the ship and look at its interior absolutely without any harm. And finally, the climax of the saint has arrived – the parade of wind chimes, when all the stinks simultaneously flow along the embankment. What a stunning sight! Also, if you want to go to the epicenter of the saint, subscribe to my Instagram or contact me – I will be happy to share useful information and pleasure.

Within the framework of the festival, there will also be a variety of water shows, as well as performances of the participating teams with demonstrations of boat navigation skills. The festival program includes various activities: fishing for plastic, evening excursions on ships, cruises on the canals of Amsterdam, and also a great evening for skippers. I have already opened the acceptance of applications for a private excursion through channels on a private meeting with the guide-captain, both during the day and in the evening.

The exact schedule of Sail Amsterdam 2025 can be found on the official website of the festival along with the map.

Amsterdam Cliche

A trip to Amsterdam for the Wind Parade is a wonderful gift to get to know the place and the countryside. I would like to convey to your respect the sultry walking excursions in Amsterdam. You will be able to find out some important facts about the history of the Dutch capital and get some important reminders. You will also taste traditional local herbs, farmer’s cheese, “non-occupying” Matyas oseledets, smoked grain and other delicacies. You will enjoy a place with all the beauty, with ancient palaces and temples, squares and canals.

And the end of the sickle season is the peak of hydrangea flowering, so it will be a great time to spend an hour in nature. So, take a one-day tour from Amsterdam to the “Dutch Venice” – the village of Giethoorn, and also to the Zaanse Schans Museum of Mlin under the open sky.

What is there to marvel at in Amsterdam on a maritime theme? Of course, there are the Shipping Museum and the Rijksmuseum, where a large number of exhibits are collected – from intact ships to the intricate embellishments of ancient ships and objects from their interior.
