Every two years, the central square of Brussels, the Grand Place, turns into a giant flower carpet made of 700,000 begonias. In 2026, this spectacle will take place again – and I will tell you how to see it with a tour or on your own!

🕒 The best time to visit:
– Morning (8:00–10:00) – fewer crowds, soft light for photos.
– Evening (after 21:00) – the lighting makes the carpet magical.

🔶 How to see a flower carpet?
1️⃣ Independently (free of charge)
– From the ground – you can get close, but not see the whole pattern.
– From the balcony of the Town Hall – the best view, but tickets (£8) sell out in a week.
– From the cafe window – book a table at Le Roy d’Espagne or Godiva.
2️⃣ With a tour (with a guide)

🌷 700,000 flowers – a carpet measuring 75×24 m is created in 4 hours!
🇧🇪 Begonias are the national symbol of Belgium, they are grown here specifically for carpet.
